I am a qualified secondary school teacher and Head of Maths who has been tutoring now for over 20 years. I have very high subject knowledge having achieved Grade 'A' in A Level Further Maths and BSc (Hons) 2(i) in Mathematics from Queen Mary College, University of London.
I am very approachable and quickly develop good relationship with the students that I tutor and the parents too.
I have an unique ability to adapt the content of my sessions to the learning style of the students that I’m working with and understand how to build their their confidence by focussing on knowledge retention and then on the application of that knowledge.
I offer 1-1 and face 2 face group sessions in Seven Kings Ilford.
Group session price - up to GCSE £15 and A Level £20.
I have over 30 years experience of teaching in UK schools. I am a former Head of Maths who achieved DFE recognition for creating a department with phenomenal student progress. As a teacher, I'm recognised as an outstanding classroom practitioner who understands how to engage students and to get the best out of them.
My significant experience means that I have a very sound understanding of how to teach Maths and the best approaches to use to ensure students retain information in a way that transfers their understanding to their long term memory. In short, I am an expert in checking and ensuring children understand, learn and retain knowledge and then are able to apply this knowledge to tackle problem solving questions.
