GCSE Examiner
1st Class Degree
Masters in Education
12 years experience in tutoring
7 years experience in classroom teaching
I am a fully qualified secondary Head of Maths and have taught full-time for 7 years. I have also worked as a maths tutor for over 12 years and have taught a range of students to help them excel in confidence, exceed their target grades and make exceptional progress. I have an expert knowledge of the new style curriculum and the GCSE specification. I have also worked as an AQA examiner and so I am very familiar with what the requirements of the GCSE exams are and how to get maximum marks on each question.
I communicate well with my students to understand what their needs are for each lesson. I boost confidence from the first lesson. I have a range of resources for every part of mathematics and ensure I plan the best sessions to maximise learning. For KS3 learners I focus on core skills and problem solving questions, and for GCSE students I focus on core skills and answering past papers and exam-style questions. I regularly share feedback with parents on the progress of their children, and praise every effort each student makes to improve.
