I have a real passion for teaching and am very flexible in my approach. My number one priority is finding out which strategies help your child learn and enabling them to achieve. I am a highly skilled, experienced, patient and ‘outstanding’ teacher of primary school children. I offer one-to-one English, Phonics, Reading, handwriting, Maths, SATs and 11+ tuition, face to face and online.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught across the primary age range for over 25 yrs. I am an experienced class teacher/reading recovery teacher. I have experience of teaching children with dyslexia, autism and SEND.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to build children’s confidence and motivation by tailoring lessons to their ability and preferred learning styles. I do not believe in a 'one style fits all' approach. I have a lot of experience and skills to draw upon, and I am very creative in my approach. I can offer formal tuition or a more creative/play based approach. I will tailor the lessons to suit your requirements.
