Helen has been providing Maths tutoring to my Year 11 Daughter for the past couple of months and I have also been attending the sessions with my Daughter. Helen is a lovely lady who is knowledgeable and has a calm and clear teaching style that encourages my Daughter to want to contribute and learn. I have seen a marked improvement in my Daughter's confidence with Maths as she walks away from each session realising that Maths isn't that hard when you understand the methods and how to interpret exam questions. Helen is very good at explaining the theory in simple terms and then diving into questions from past exam papers putting the theory and method to answer the questions into practice. I would highly recommend Helen if your child needs that extra support to ground their understanding that is missing from school.

We are delighted that we were able to find Helen to tutor our child in mathematics. She took time at the start to understand the type and level of support needed; has established a strong working relationship with our child; teaches the maths in a way suited to them; and uses example questions to demonstrate what an examiner will be looking for in an examination answer to award marks. We are very pleased with the improvement we have seen in our child's confidence and test scores as a consequence of working with her.

I would like to thank Helen for all the help she has given my daughter in the last few months leading up to her Maths exams. Helen was very patient and engaging and always ensured my daughter understood thoroughly the tasks given. She found it all very helpful and we are grateful for Helen’s support.

Helen is an excellent Maths tutor. She is tutoring my son in A level maths and is really helping support him generally and in the areas where he is struggling. I would highly recommend her.

All very positive. Helen has been coaching my 15 year old son for around 7 months now and his Maths has advanced significantly as a direct result of Helen's input. Helen is personable, reliable and a subject matter expert, with an excellent grasp of the GCSE examination system. One of the best decisions we have made.

My son has been seeing Helen for several months and I and very pleased with the progress he has made. He is more confident in tackling questions and his understanding has increased significantly. This has been reflected in the homework that he has been given and the results achieved.

Very happy with the help received, especially for a teenage girl who has been initially somewhat reluctant and resistant! I think the calm and relaxed approach has won her over in the end. Maybe providing some materials/topic sheets to use would be helpful, on those days where Katie hasnt been organised or prepared well!

Helen has been a fantastic tutor for my son, very calm in her approach and gets him to engage with her easily. She has developed some simple rules with him that have seen his grades improve dramatically which has given him the confidence he needed. Would thoroughly recommend Helen.

Was a little nervous in getting a new maths teacher for my son (being only 8) however from first visit he has come away all smiles and has said he totally understands the way a particular topic in maths you focused on (addition/subtraction) is now correctly applied. He was really struggling with this and has come away calmer and happier. Lessons are going well and he is looking forward for that additional help to ensure he is understanding maths and can answer the questions correctly which in return makes him enjoys the subject. The tuition has only just started due to holidays, but my Daughter really likes Helen and feels comfortable with her and like her teaching method. This is very important as my daughter gas Asperger Traits. Thank you.

Helen really helped our daughter to get her confidence back with her maths after she'd become a little bit confused with certain concepts that she'd learnt at school. Helen worked with her and reinforced these concepts in a very positive manner.

My son is having extra tuition with Helen for Maths and on the two sessions he has had with Helen he has informed me that it is very beneficial and that he is understanding problems that he had before, much better.

We were very pleased with the tuition that Helen provided to our daughter. Although she only spent 1 hour a week helping her through A level maths, my daughter took to her teaching style immediately and there is no doubt that she advanced her knowledge of the subject.

Helen was very friendly and helpful to my daughter who struggled with some of the advanced maths concepts. Helen is not a clock watcher and clearly enjoys her subject.

Helen has been an amazing tutor for me in my GCSE maths! Not only does she make it easy to understand she makes it fun aswell! Helen explains things in ways that you understand to make it clearer which helps me learn quicker and it helps me remember how to do it. I would definatly recommend Helen as a tutor as she is very calm and makes you relax in your own environment even through the hard maths!
