I'm a supportive and patient part time primary school teacher with over 33 years experience teaching both KS1 and KS2. I offer 1:1 tuition in Maths, Reading, Writing and Handwriting. I am skilled at tailoring sessions to your child's needs, making sessions engaging and enjoyable, boosting confidence and enabling your child to progress.
I have over 33 years experience teaching both KS1 and KS2 in mainstream primary schools. I have taught children with a wide range of abilities from children with dyslexia/dyscalculia/ASD through to those who enjoy a challenge and need stretching into the KS3 curriculum. I am also skilled in delivering intervention/catch up groups in maths, writing and reading.
Using my knowledge and experience I work with families to identify weaknesses and teach in a supportive and engaging manner tailored to your child. I have a relaxed, friendly and fun approach, tapping into your child's interests to help their engagement. I use a wide range of educational resources including worksheets, games (both physical and online) and have even used Lego and Smarties to enable children to understand tricky concepts. I love seeing children grow in confidence, progress and flourish!
Please note I do not currently offer 11+ entrance exam tuition.
