BA Hons/PGCE/ QTLS/ SEN specialism/ enhanced SEN training (Elklan).
As a special educational needs (SEN) teacher I have worked with children and young people who needed extra support, or required an advanced programme of learning, in order to reach their full educational potential.
I have taught pupils who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, conditions, autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs, or a combination of these difficulties.
I have worked in special educational needs (SEN) education for over twenty years. In my role as a teacher, I worked with children and young people who required additional support, or required an advanced programme of learning in order to reach their full educational potential.
I have training in delivering reading interventions which are proven synthetic phonics programmes that ensure success in reading, writing and spelling.
I combine enthusiasm, humour, kindness, compassion and understanding through my approach to delivering learning to young people. I can adapt to suit preferred learning styles and with an understanding of pupil EHCPs, I can offer learning that can support EHCP outcomes if required.
