A First Class (Hons) Mathematics graduate currently teaching at a Secondary School. I have consistently produced excellent results for both GCSE and A level; I have had grade 9s from students who were predicted 5/6/7 as well grade As from students who were predicted B/Cs for A level. I love to challenge my students always pushing them for the best grade possible. I do this primarily by building their confidence around the subject.
I am well informed about the changes to the new GCSE Maths 9-1 and have experience of covering both Higher and Foundation topics. I am very keen on building my students mathematical and problem solving skills.
I am also an experienced teacher of A level Maths, currently involved in making resources/revision videos/exam questions for the New A Level Maths and Further Maths specification.
I have been tutoring students who have been struggling with Mathematics and able to engage them, facilitate their learning and better their understanding. I motivate pupils using examples from my own academic experience and successfully engage them. I have a strong subject knowledge and therefore able to break down topics for my students and relate learning to real life examples.
I have experience of being a Maths Academic Tutor at a successful secondary school in London, providing supplementary support to KS3 and KS4 pupils in mentoring sessions; helping pupils with a particular area of maths, developing their confidence to solve problems on their own and preparing them for end of year/GCSE exams.
