I am a young enthusiastic Science Teacher who is pаtient, friendly аnd successful. I love my job as a classroom teacher and tutor.

I tutor Science at all levels up to GCSE and Biology at A Level. I hаve а gооd sense оf humоur and I аm used tо teaching in 1:1 situаtiоns.

Tutoring Experience

I carried out my degree (2:1) and PGCE in Secondary Science at the University of Portsmouth.

I have been a qualified teacher for 12 years. I taught Science and Physical Education for 3 years in a state school and I currently teach Science in an independent specialist school and have been tutoring Science for over 10 years now with huge success, helping meet students individual needs and ensuring they fulfill their potential. I have experience working as an examiner and I have access to past paper questions, practice questions topic by topic and other online resources.

I teach all science up to GCSE and Biology at A level. I have taught all the major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel (including IGCSE), OCR, and Cambridge IGCSE. I have a vast amount of experience and expertise in helping students master decoding questions and improving exam technique.

I have worked with students of all abilities and have current experience of working with students with special needs.

I also have experience in helping with controlled assessments and BTEC work.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to boost a students' confidence in a relaxed environment resulting in greater success, enjoyment and self-belief.

My teaching style is individually tailored and differentiated to meet the need of the students I teach. I fix any diagnosed gaps in knowledge and skills with practice questions, well explained concepts, and bite sized steps to the correct answer. Once students have built a strong foundation of subject knowledge, we push them by training their ability to apply and link their knowledge since exam boards test for this in their higher level questions.
