I am a qualified maths teacher with over 10 years teaching experience, 6 years tutoring experience and 8 years as a GCSE examiner.
With many years of teaching experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4. This enables me to design lessons that are appropriately challenging and focused on fostering progression. Additionally, my role as an Edexcel GCSE examiner has given me valuable insights into how topics are assessed in exams, how marks are awarded, and the common mistakes students tend to make.
Having worked with students of diverse age groups and skill levels, I understand the importance of tailoring my approach to meet individual learning needs. My aim is not only to enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts but also to build their confidence and foster a genuine enjoyment of the subject.
I take pride in delivering lessons that are both creative and engaging, designed to stretch and challenge every pupil, regardless of their starting point. Combined with my clear explanations and skill in using high-level questioning to assess understanding, I ensure that all students leave my lessons with a sense of achievement and progress.
