I am currently within my twelfth year of teaching at a Primary School. Whilst at this school I have taught in Reception as well as Key Stage 1. I have also had the responsibility of focusing on year 2 SATS intervention and so have an in-depth knowledge of the the criteria needed in order to succeed in these exams. I have previously been key stage lead at my school in Early years and KS1. I am currently a specialist SEN teacher with a focus on engaging children with MLD including autism and ADHD.
I have been tutoring children of Primary School age for eight years and within those years I have supported many children with their reading, writing and numeracy skills.
As a private tutor I always endeavor to firstly develop a good relationship with the student and their family in order to develop the best possible understanding of the key gaps in the students learning. I then use my knowledge and experience as a teacher to deliver personalised lessons to the student that ensure progression is made and academic goals are achieved. I always pride myself on being professional within my role as a tutor and I am committed to improving the education of the students in my care.
