Tutoring is a real passion of mine. I graduated in English Literature and French in July 2010 and since then have been tutoring, mainly in these subjects, in East Sussex and Kent.
Apart from teaching, I adore skiing, hiking, theatre, languages and singing in community choirs. I also possess some in-line skates and a paddle board, so am slowly learning how to master them. Determination is key!
Tutoring Experience
I have 16 years of experience as a tutor, teaching English, French, Study Skills, and tackling learning 'without barriers' with young people aged 3-18 with Special Educational Needs. I also teach English as a Foreign Language to both children and adults.
During quieter moments I work as an associate tutor for GRH Training, delivering EAL, English, Maths, Getting Ready for Reception, SATs and School Transition courses to parents and their families in locations across East Sussex.
Tutoring Approach
Education should be a partnership between tutor and student. I tutor according to each student’s needs and learning style and keep the rest of the family up to date where relevant; no-one gets left behind on the learning journey.
Providing top-notch tuition is a passion as well as a career choice. Keeping up-to-date with current teaching methods and the curriculum is very important to me, as is keeping in touch with students’ schools as necessary to ensure that progress is being made.
