As a former Meta and NHS Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in high-performance tech environments, I specialize in tutoring Maths, Computer Science, and Programming (Python, Java, etc.) for students at all levels. My hybrid background in cutting-edge industry practices and academic rigor allows me to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Why learn with me?
• Exam mastery: 11 A*/9s at GCSE, AAA at A-Level, First-Class Computer Science degree from King’s College London
• Proven pedagogy: Over 500 hours of 1:1 tutoring experience helping students overcome bottlenecks in algorithms, data structures, and exam technique
• Industry-informed teaching: Modern coding practices from FAANG-level engineering teams, adapted for student comprehension
• Flexible formats: Online or in-person sessions with project-based learning, past paper drills, and coursework support
I focus on building computational intuition – not just rote memorization. Through incremental challenges and Socratic questioning, I help students develop problem-solving frameworks that work for GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate assessments. My mentorship philosophy emphasizes resilience: we celebrate productive failures as stepping stones to mastery.
As a First Class Computer Science graduate from King’s College London and a professional with 5+ years’ experience at leading tech firms, I combine industry expertise with a passion for education. My dual perspective enables me to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications, particularly valuable for GCSE/A-Level Computer Science and programming students.
Key strengths:
• Exam-focused tuition: Designed 100+ tailored lesson plans helping students improve grades by 2+ levels, with 90% achieving target results in 2023/24
• Concept simplification: Break down complex topics like algorithms, OOP, and calculus into intuitive, visual explanations
• Adaptive teaching: Diagnose knowledge gaps through low-stakes assessments and address them with targeted exercises
• Career-relevant coding tuition: Python/Java/JavaScript instruction aligned with both exam boards and modern tech stack requirements
Academic Credentials
• 11 A* at GCSE (Including Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science)
• AAA at A-Level (Maths, Physics, Computer Science)
• First Class BSc Computer Science (KCL) – Awarded Dean’s List for academic excellence
My approach emphasizes active recall and spaced repetition techniques proven to enhance long-term retention. For programming students, I employ project-based learning – we recently created a grade-tracking web app that helped 3 GCSE classes monitor their progress.
Available for online or in-person sessions across Worcester Park and London, with flexible scheduling including weekends. All lessons include progress reports and 24/7 email support between sessions.
Of course, every student isn't the same and has a different way of understanding different subjects, therefore what I'd like to do first is try and establish which method the student is most responsive to and then teach in that style. This also allows me to identify the child's weaknesses and take proactive steps to strengthen them such as re-teaching specific topics. To me, it's very important that my student is comfortable with me so that I can build their confidence and motivate them all the way.
I know that maths is most students least favourite subject at school and when I was younger I used to feel the same way but with time and experience I've realised that maths can be fun too, it all depends on how you teach it. The wrong approach can make you really despise the subject, however the right approach can make it super enjoyable. It is my aim to help students rediscover the joy of maths and computer science.
