Gregory has been helping my daughter for the last couple of months with her GCSE maths. He has been great at giving her the confidence to tackle her maths without fear. I wanted a maths tutor for my GCSE year daughter, as her teacher at a previous school (year 7 and 8) wasn't good so she felt as if she was missing critical basics, which would undermine her ability to get a good grade in her GCSE. Anna comes out from her lessons with Greg buzzing. She says that he explains the concepts in a simple, logical but detailed way which means that she understands and also remembers everything she has learnt. She also never feels judged, so she is happy to tell him exactly what she doesn't understand without feeling embarrassed. We have just increased to two sessions a week as she feels he is helping her so much and she is keen to get an 8 or 9 in maths.

Greg is really helping my son come to grips with some of the more complex side of Maths which is going to help him with his higher Maths GCSE. Greg is friendly, open and constantly checks in with my son to make sure he understands what they are learning together. It is great that Greg is able to work using Skype which saves having a tutor coming to the house or us driving to the tutors as we have had to with previous tutors for my other two children. My year 11 son requested help with specific GCSE maths topics in order to really understand them. Greg has been tutoring him online, weekly lessons, for a month now and my son’s knowledge and confidence has improved. Dare I say it, he even looks forward to the lessons because he knows he’s going to know more than when he started! Greg is knowledgeable, patient and kind. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a maths tutor to help your children then look no further! Greg is absolutely fantastic. He has helped my son tremendously with making sure he is fully prepared for his upcoming GCSE mock exams. He really took the time with my son to go over any areas that he may have been slightly “rusty” on and /or anything he wasn’t quite sure of. As with many children, they often have the capability to do it, but whether its not enough time in the classroom to fully be able to grasp what is being said, or perhaps its a lack of confidence, whatever the issue, Greg will be able to ascertain and prepare a proper timetable of lessons that will help. He has gone above and beyond expectations and has even given us extra time slots to ensure that my son is fully prepared for his exams and confident. My son is in Year 11. He lost confidence and got behind during the lockdowns. Gregory is extremely enthusiastic, approachable, patient, encouraging and humorous. Greg has been working with my son (currently in Year 8) for the last few weeks with great success. Greg has quickly assessed how he can support and tailor lessons for my son. There has been focus on revising key subject areas with a view to bridging knowledge gaps and increasing confidence. Greg is patient, has good sense of humour which makes the lessons enjoyable. Greg is also approachable and keeps me updated on progress. The most important thing is my son is regaining his confidence, engaged and more motivated to learn. Greg uses digital methods to teach (e.g. tablet and electronic pen and 'BitPaper') which is interactive and also gives a record of the lesson and reference material.

We have been extremely pleased with the service Greg has delivered. My daughter initially had face to face sessions but we then changed this to Skype which works very well. Greg is a lovely gentleman and is very professional in his delivery - he is always very calm and detailed in his instructions. Homework is set and reviewed so he can assess her understanding. He has certainly helped improve my daughters confidence and helped her to make progress. Although GCSE’s have been cancelled, the lessons are continuing for the time being. Thank you very much Greg!

Greg has been a fabulous tutor to my daughter and will hopefully continue to give her tuition until her GCSEs in 2020. I felt my daughter needed a slightly different approach to her school maths lessons and I believe Greg has managed to do this. My daughter said Greg explains things in ways she understands and gives her options of the best way to tackle maths questions. Greg has also focused on my daughters confidence - or lack of it, when it comes to maths. She said he doesn't judge her if she gets something wrong, so is therefore more willing to have a go.
