I am a highly experienced full time tutor with over 20 years teaching and tutoring experience behind me. I am passionate about what I do in explaining work in a simple way to students and finding innovative ways that they can check their own work so that they are not depending on any teacher, and this speeds up learning.
I am now fully online and can offer tutoring from different platforms. This is working really well and I have received a lot of positive feedback. Please read my reviews as I live on my reputation, and lastly I hope to see you soon.
I have taught for 18 years in a variety of different schools at all levels from year 8 through GCSE to A-level.I have also marked exam papers for 3 education boards, which has been an invaluable experience that highlights common exam errors etc. I have been a full time tutor since 2015 and although I tutor all levels, I have often been asked to assist pupils whose confidence is low and I do feel like I specialise in this, and is often praised in my feedback.
Each pupil I tutor, I look to see from their own work what errors they make and where further work would benefit. I like to get under the skin of the work and explain why we do it, and how they can check it and what they think of it!
I can quickly help those struggling with tables, or other numberwork strategies or skills as I have built up a method for this as it is a common weak area.
Below GCSE I have often tutored in pairs and yet give individual tuition; this has proved very successful and I always receive excellent feed-back and success rates. Thank you.
