Giovanni is an excellent Italian tutor. I highly recommended him. He is friendly and enthusiast. My son is studying for his GCSE Italian and he really enjoys his weekly lessons with Giovanni. He finds them very thorough & engaging. We are very lucky to have found such a fantastic tutor!

Giovanni was very useful, as he helped me complete my IRP project in a space of a week before my exam, especially as my IRP project was inadequate, as my previous tutor dropped me last minute as a student. Giovanni helped me to be prepared for my IRP project exam, and because of Giovanni I was able to achieve a grade A for my Italian A-level.

Giovanni is a very experienced tutor. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease during the lessons, even when you make mistakes! I enjoy my sessions with Giovanni and feel that I have made progress. I would fully recommend Giovanni for anyone thinking about learning Italian.

Giovanni is an extremely good tutor.
Before, I lacked confidence in French, but now thanks to him, I believe I can get a grade 7 (with ease) or possibly grade 8 at the end of the year, thanks to his efforts.

Giovanni was great at training my son’s language skills in order for him to write essays about the film and book he needed for his A-level. A* gained in the end…all good, I would definitely recommend Giovanni.

Giovanni is a very capable, organized and patient teacher who has helped my daughter with her preparation for GCSE Italian this year. Giovanni is always available for support and really care about his students. In just a couple of months my daughter’s confidence in Italian improved enormously. Glad we found him!

Giovanni is a genuine pleasure to work with. He is personable unhurried and helps you learn and develop at your own pace . I feel I’ve made genuine progress in speaking and listening since using his tutoring.

Giovanni has been my tutor for nearly a year now and as a native Italian he speaks his mother tongue very eloquently. Owing to my needs our lesson is mainly conversationally based with some structure to focus on particular grammar or vocabulary points highlighted by the discussion.
I find that this approach suits me well as I can practise what I have studied myself during the week and ask questions where I need to.
Giovanni's qualities as a teacher are numerous. He is patient, accurate and enabling in the sense that he provides me with an inner confidence in myself and my abilities.
Sadly, what is holding me back from my goal is a lack of time which is no fault of my tutor but I get very frustrated when asked to provide an essay for marking which proves impossible owing to the constraints of time and my demanding work.
Nonetheless, Giovanni has never reproached for this.
Over and above his teaching skills Giovanni and I share many interests and this makes for wonderful spirited conversation which certainly improves my grammar and vocabulary. I enjoy my lessons and look forward to them each week as I gradually improve towards my goal.

Giovanni has almost became a household name! He has helped both my children with GCSE (Italian) and A level (Italian and occasionally French) and suffice to say that they have both passed with top results. He has also helped my husband to prepare for a B2 exam. We started with face to face lessons and then we had to move to remote, because of Covid. This has not affected the effectiveness of the lessons.
Giovanni is very knowledgeable and *very* patient! He can engage with diverse age groups, diverse level of knowledge and maturity. He has also been very flexible and fit around a busy schedule. I do not hesitate to recommend him: do what he says and you'll get there!

We went for a trial of a few French tutors before deciding on Giovanni. My daughter immediately asked to go for him as he quickly picked up on her strengths and areas of improvement. She found her lessons very helpful, and she is now confident in getting the grades that she was aiming for. Thank you, Giovanni for all your support and hard work!

Giovanni has been an excellent Italian tutor. He quickly determined my ability and tailors lessons as necessary. There is lots of challenging homework for which there is quick and patient advice. He very easy to converse with and I look forward to our weekly Whatsapp lessons.

He has many resources and talks through them in each lesson and is incredibly helpful in helping through all steps. He makes learning Italian that much more fun!

Put at such ease from the start of the lesson, did not flood with too much infomonation and looking forward to next week already

Giovanni was patient, friendly and concise with his teaching and I highly recommend him.
I was moving to Italy in a period of 6-months so he adjusted the pace of learning to get me to an intermediate level, gave me supplementary material for the automotive industry I work in and would always answer my queries and qualms promptly. He's helped get me in to a fantastic position with my lingual skills so I'll be able to enjoy everything Italian; the culture, weather and food.
I will stay in touch with him as he was keen to see my progress despite having moved to Italy now.

Giovanni, is a great French teacher, he is helping me to develop my speaking and understanding skills.

Enjoyed the lessons and understanding more of the grammar. Additional work between lessons was appropriate. Hopefully can pick this up when work becomes quieter with less travelling!

I had a couple lessons with Giovanni and he was outstanding! I took Italian lessons to go on holiday and during my stay, I practised my Italian and I managed not to use English and I received very good feedback from the locals. I have got this result thank to Giovanni because he teaches just the way you learn your mother tongue, grammar, conversation and vocabulary. Everything, he does it's very natural and you don't feel that you are learning.

I have been seeing Giovanni every week now for four weeks - I was ( and still am ) a complete beginner and have found learning Italian daunting and over whelming at times.
But Giovanni has given me the confidence, materials, guidance and support to continue along a journey which I suspect may be a very long one

Two lessons in and Giovanni has totally understood the way I need to learn Italian and the reasons why. He is a really friendly guy, always on time, very well prepared and super responsive.

Giovanni is a great teacher! I immediately felt at ease with him. I’ve had 4 lessons so far and I feel really confident about how he will help me improve in French over the coming months. He has lots of learning materials and motivational comments to help out too!

My wife and I have had 2 sessions with Giovanni thus far, 1 session for 1 hour, and another for 2 hours. Both have been very successful and we are learning a lot. Giovanni is very patient and understanding that we are essentially new to the language (although having done it at GCSE!). Giovanni is an exceptional teacher, he has been teaching my 4 year old and myself to learn Italian. My 4 year old thinks he is great and enjoys his lessons. He is a trustworthy, friendly, patient teacher and I highly recommend.

Excellent tutor - very thorough and good at explaining in a simple way that is easier to remember. He is always prepared and brings worksheets that have helped me learn much quicker. He also recommended some resources that I have found very useful. He's taught me a vast amount of French in a very short amount of time!

Giovanni, was patient with a total new beginner to the French language. He explained the basics and took me through them. He let me borrow his books until i purchased my own. Unfortunately due to personal reasons i have had to postpone my learning, but hope to restart soon.

I set Giovanni a challenge - 6 months to get me to a standard where I can at least have a conversation for about 3 minutes in Italian. I already speak French and Spanish - so I knew that this was going to be difficult. However, Giovanni was up to the challenge and set about teaching me the basics, linking it to my understanding of French and Spanish and then building on the learning. I am pleased to say that during my week's visit to Sicily, I was able to converse with the driver of our transfer from the airport, order a taxi on the telephone (and tell him where we were located - as we were not in a main area of the town), speak to waiters to explain where we were from and chat to the guide on a Segway tour. Giovanni is extremely patient and explains things exceptionally well. It is like having a friend come over for a coffee on a Saturday morning, as he is an interesting guy and he also explains cultural significance of various aspects of Italian life, so you have some background to the explanations - as well as learning colloquialisms. I would recommend Giovanni for any level of Italian - he is professional, knowledgeable and a great guy!

Myself and my fiance are learning with Giovanni currently. We have had some tough months and Giovanni has always been understanding and flexible with our hectic lives.

He is entirely professional, extremely punctual, and very welcoming. No question is silly, and no level of experience is required. He will instantly put you at ease and you will be able to get to grips with the Italian in a direct and fun way.

Giovanni has quickly adapted the lessons to suit my needs and given a good, honest assesment of how I can improve my Italian. I am enjoying the lessons and they allow me to focus on Italian at least once a week rather than let it slip down the agenda.

Giovanni is an excellent tutor and is very patient with me, especially as I ask a lot of questions. I have now had three lessons and his preparation for each session is superb. I am glad I chose a one to one tutor and after each lesson, I leave knowing that my use of the Italian language has improved. I have been trying to teach myself for the last two years and I now wish that I had sought out a tutor a lot earlier.

Giovanni is very helpful and understanding of our different levels of conversational and written Italian.
