I am a qualified science teacher who specialises in chemistry to GCSE and A level and biology to GCSE. I have a 2:1 BSc in Biochemistry from University of Leeds and a PgDipEd in Science: Chemistry from University of Birmingham. I am a hard working and supportive teacher with a passion for education and teaching. I continuously strive to get the best outcomes possible for my students and open as many doors as I can for them.
I have 10 years teaching experience including experience in both state and private schools. I gained the position of Head of Chemistry by the end of my first year of teaching in my first school where I remained for 5 years. I am currently Head of Science and on SLT in a large secondary school that oversees physics/chemistry/biology/computer science which consists of four heads of department and 14 staff.
I adapt the session to suit the pupil and their needs. I assess the pupil's strengths and weaknesses and go through the required areas of the subject whilst continuously assessing the pupil's understanding along the way. I enjoy forming positive relationships with my pupils and developing their love for the sciences.
