I am one of the most sought-after Maths and Physics tutors in London. I have a First Class degree in Mathematics and Management Studies from Cambridge University. I have also won the UK Sudoku Championship three times and represented the UK at numerous international puzzle competitions. I was a child prodigy myself, having taken Maths GCSE at the age of just 8. By the age of 9, it was clear that I had easily surpassed the abilities of my teachers, so instead I continued my studies alone, teaching myself every step of the way to university-level Maths.
I am extremely passionate about passing on my enthusiasm and specialist knowledge of Maths - and problem solving - to students of all ages and abilities.
I have been largely self-taught since the age of 9. As a result, I have an very unusual talent - a highly intuitive understanding of the way young minds work when approaching mathematical problems at all levels. Students often tell me that they love how I always know exactly what concept they haven't fully grasped - normally before they realise it themselves.
I have several thousand hours of experience as a private tutor with children of all ages - and even a few adults, too. I have coached students for 11+, 13+, GCSE, A-Level and Oxbridge Entrance, in both Maths and Physics, during this time, with all my students achieving fantastic results in their exams and the vast majority being accepted to their first-choice university.
Besides routinely supporting students working at grade E standard to achieve 100% in their exams, I have a proven track record of inspiring students to a real enjoyment of their subject with ideas and concepts well beyond the scope of the school syllabus. My lessons are certainly not boring!
Here is just a small selection of what previous students and their parents have said about me:
“I have been to a lot of tutors and I can safely say that you have been the best.” – Student
“I will never forget about the help with getting the Oxford offer. I couldn’t have done it without your tips.” – Student

“I would overhear bits and hear George clarifying things to my son and be struck by the way in which this was done.” – Parent
I am a patient, diligent and friendly tutor, and as such I am always able to fill the gaps in students’ logical thought processes. This ensures that students are able to use their knowledge to tackle even the most perplexing questions.
Each student has their own unique strengths - I can quickly identify these and build on them to improve their confidence in applying their knowledge to academic and real world situations.
I promise not only to help students reach their potential, but also enable them to raise their expectations of what their potential may be. My teaching style helps to build self-confidence, which is incredibly valuable not just for passing exams but also for life in general. I am a National Champion at what I do, and I believe that with my help, your child can be too.
