I worked as a learning support manager and teacher in a learning support base, for over 15 years and have been tutoring full time for the past five years. I teach students with additional learning needs as well as mainstream students who need extra help with their basic skills. I have lots of patience and empathy and love enabling students to make progress and succeed in their education.
Over 20 years experience of working with students of all ages, from early years to adult learning. I am qualified and experienced in teaching basic skills and have completed extensive training in literacy and numeracy programmes, including teaching dyslexic and dyscalculic learners. I have experience in teaching English as an additional language and English and Maths to GCSE. I also tutor Home Educated students, individually and in small groups.
I aim to provide an individual programme based on the needs of the learner, where I can nurture and encourage them to meet their potential in a calm happy environment.
