I am a 54 year old teacher with many years experience tutoring and teaching in schools and colleges in North West England. I am qualified with a Masters Degree and have a current DBS and a teacher training qualification (PGCE). I am passionate about Maths, and I feel I communicate that enthusiasm to all my students. I believe I have a great ability to explain and communicate mathematical concepts to my students, and have enabled them to achieve great success in their exams.
I am an expert Maths teacher with 30 years experience of teaching hundreds of students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities at all levels including SATS, GCSE, A level, Further A level and Entrance Exams which include STEP maths papers for Oxford and Cambridge entrance. I have a great track record of helping students achieve the best possible results in their exams and strive to create a purposeful organised environment in my lessons, tailoring them to the needs of the student and the requirements of the curriculum so that progress is guaranteed.
I am friendly and approachable, but also work in a very professional manner preparing students for their exams by covering all areas of the syllabus, targeting those areas which the student finds most challenging. As exams approach, I generally spend a lot of time with my students looking through exam papers and relating the questions to the mark schemes so that each student is as prepared as possible.
