My name is Gareth and I am a Music and English teacher. I am a keen reader, a guitar player and a music lover!
Tutoring Experience
After completing my PGCE, and earning my qualified teacher status in 2016, I taught Music in secondary schools for 8 years. My first year teaching was at Nunnery Wood High School in Worcester before I moved to Thamesmead Secondary School in Shepperton. I taught there for 7 years and spent over 2 years as Head of Music, leading the Key Stage 4 musicians to excellent GCSE outcomes. For the last 2 years, I have been teaching remote English lessons alongside my music and guitar tuition.
Tutoring Approach
I believe that we all learn in our own unique ways and that lessons should be tailored to the individual. I aim to make every lesson purposeful, fun, and engaging.
