Gabriella is an excellent tutor who is easy to get along with. With her help I have managed to go from a 4 to a 7 in English literature in a short space of time. I have never ran into any difficulties with Gabriella and I highly recommend her as a tutor.
Thanks Tom!

We are very pleased with Gabriella’s tutoring style. She is professional, enthusiastic and has the ability engage our Son in his English GCSE studies. He feels he has grown in his knowledge and understanding of the subject and feels more confident. Thank you Gabriella.

Gabriella is a reliable and informative tutor for my son tesisting his GCSE English Language. My son finds her professional and easy to interact with. He is coming on already after a few lessons, Gabriella always chats with us at the end of every session to inform us of what they have been working on and how he is getting in with work set each week. I would highly recomend Gabriella as an at home tutor
Thanks Nicola!

The tutor accepted the request after we had clarified the needs by clearly stating that we need 20 days intensive course on English creative writing. We paid to get the tutors contact details. Initially the tutor agreed but later on send us unsuitable timings to tutor and reduced the number of sessions and increased the duration of each session. We requested the tutor to adjust few timings and dates, she did not adjust at all , we still went ahead and agreed on the dates and times but at the last moment tutor just sent a message stating that she does not want to conduct the tutions at all. She has acted snobbish, most important factor for a tutor is to act as a role model for the child she is teaching, at this instance she has not acted professionally. We will not recommend her to anyone.
In your first enquiry message, (before I accepted your 7-year-old daughter Kushi as a student), you asked for daytime lessons: 1 hour for 19 days. My daytimes are free, so I accepted. Only after I accepted did I discover you could ONLY do 1:30pm, which was already booked by a long-standing loyal student of mine. I offered any time between 10am and 1:30pm, but you would not compromise. I later discovered the real reason for your insistence on 1:30pm: Your son has therapy booked at 1:30 and both parents want to be present during his session. This would have left me to teach and babysit your 7 year-old-daughter alone in your apartment, while you’d be with your son at therapy in a totally different location. You were irresponsible parents to blindly assume I would be okay with being left alone with your 7 year-old daughter. Then, you slyly demand I walk your daughter to the therapy building after our lessons have finished. I’m not a babysitter. If you need a babysitter, go to **Web Address Removed** You were extremely deceptive in your demands as they gradually mounted up. If you had been clear about these demands from the get-go, I would not have accepted.
After many messages back and forth (which was a total waste of my valuable time and could have been spent preparing for lessons), I explained honestly and kindly that although April is my busiest month, I was happy to accommodate you anytime before 1:30pm. Additionally, I said there was no pressure if you did not want to continue with me as a tutor.
Then, miraculously, you agreed to the times I suggested in the first instance. However, by this point, I was so stressed out with your ludicrous demands, I calmly said:
“The organisation of these lessons has been stressful, which leads me to believe the teaching process will not be pleasant either, and in fact, I would prefer not to teach your child.”
You replied with a disingenuous and insulting message, insinuating that I was a tutor who took advantage of parents. You go on to say that the reason I’d changed my mind was because I was ‘scared off’ by your ‘vigilant’ parenting. I don’t think leaving your 7 year-old with a stranger is very vigilant, do you?
To be completely honest, I am unbelievably relieved that I never have to meet these authoritarian parents.
Lastly, to those good-natured parents reading this searching for an honest, reliable, and responsible tutor for their son or daughter, I can provide all messaging between Kushi’s family and I as evidence to back-up my truthful statement. I never met this family in person, so they haven’t a clue about my teaching competency, but feel free to peruse over my other brilliant 5 star reviews which are imbued with gratitude, respect, and most importantly honesty.
Thanks for reading.

Gabriella is tutoring my son who is sitting his A-Levels this Summer. I have found her to be very friendly and professional. Gabriella is very flexible and comes to our home which is hugely appreciated. My son is already reaping the benefits of her excellent tuition as evidenced by improved confidence and grades in English Literature and Language. His college tutor has commented favourably on his written work and style so we are very happy indeed. Thank you very much and we look forward to continued progress over the coming months. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend such a lovely teacher.
Thank you Linda - he's a pleasure to teach!
