Gaayen

Hey there! My name is Gaayen and I am a third-year Medical Student at King's College London! I have been teaching science at schools for over 4 years and now help students prepare for their UCAT, BMAT, Medicine Interviews, GCSE Biology, Physics, Chemistry and IB Biology and Physics.
I will make sure that you and I work together to tackle challenging aspects, learn useful tips and tricks, and stand out in the subjects you learn from me - be it in a BMAT Essay, Medicine Interview, or even GCSE examinations.
Having been through the process of applying (and getting into!) Med schools in the UK as an international student, all while juggling extracurriculars and getting good grades, I believe that now we can work together to help you get through that same process as well - in admissions testing, school subject exams, or even interviews.

Tutoring Experience

For the past 4 years, I have a proven track record of getting students into their universities. I have taught students how to be successful in their interviews and have helped them secure offers from King’s, UCL, Barts, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, St George’s, Dundee, Brunel, and more

For 4 of my High-School years, I had been teaching Mathematics, Science, and English at a local school for 4 hours a week.

I have also guided juniors in my school with their Medicine Applications, UCAT, BMAT, and school subjects.

Tutoring Approach

For Interview Prep sessions, I will use resources and knowledge about past Interviews at that University to ensure we cover and emphasise on important points and common questions that the university asks. Using Mock interviews, we can refine speaking styles and build confidence, along with working on aspects other than the content of answers - like clarity of communication.

For UCAT and BMAT prep, we will go through techniques that help to gain an extra edge in the exams. Along with this, going through types of questions, working on all of the different types of sections, and working on time-management skills through the exams.
