Freddie

Private English and History Tuition in St. Albans

My Name is Freddie, I’m currently studying History & Politics at Newnham College at the University of Cambridge

Tutoring Experience

Have tutored people from lower years (year 9) in History, at A Level I provided weekly classes during lunch time for my peers to learn the content more in depth and to ask any questions due to being on the Talrnted and Gifted programme for History at my school. In recent months I have also provided help to students in perfecting their Personal Statement for Oxbridge and have provided help with interview prep and prep for the HAT

Tutoring Approach

Thorough, calm, and interactive. When tutoring students I try to understand how the individual learns best and I try to adapt my teaching so that they can get the most out of our sessions. I also love to gamify learning through creating interactive games as I have found this is proven to keep students engaged and usually leads to the information entering their ,ONG term memory. I am also willing to go through essay techniques and show line by line what has worked in said essay and what potentially needs improvement.
