Hello, my name is Fraser, thank you for looking at my profile. I am a qualified primary school teacher, currently working in Ross-shire. I am available for tutoring in all primary school subjects, however I have a passion for numeracy, literacy and physical education. I understand that taking the steps to obtain a tutor can be daunting for families and their children, therefore I ensure I am approachable and understanding to every family and child's needs to make sure they have the best tutoring experience possible.
Prior to teaching I was involved in professional football for 10 years where I worked for various teams across Scotland and at International level. I enjoy bringing my sporting experiences into teaching and using it as a tool to help children learn in a fun environment. I have experience working across all stages of primary school and I strive on working 1:1 with children. Additionally, I have experience working with children from a range of backgrounds and experiences. I treat each child as their own individual and enjoy finding tailored ways to help children understand and learn.
Being a father myself, I understand how our children can feel anxious and overwhelmed when it comes to their learning, therefore I have a gentle approach to tutoring and enjoy teaching children in contexts that they can relate to. Through my experience in teaching, I have found that when children are engaged and can relate to their learning, they will strive in school. There is no better moment than seeing a child smile when they find a solution for the first time.
