My name is Shade and I’m passionate about helping children grow in confidence and achieve their best in both literacy and maths. I understand how worrying it can be for parents to see their child struggle or lose confidence in their abilities. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment that not only boosts skills but also nurtures a love for learning, helping every child thrive.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced educator with over three decades of teaching experience, beginning in 1990 in Nigeria and continuing in the UK, where I earned my Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) in 2005. I hold a master’s degree in English Education (completed in 2013) and have taught across both primary and secondary schools. As a former Head of Reading, I am passionate about helping children develop strong literacy skills and achieve measurable progress. I have also completed numerous courses in primary mathematics and developed successful, engaging approaches that make maths fun and enjoyable for children. My methods have led to significant improvements in pupils’ attainment and confidence in maths, making learning a positive and rewarding experience.
