I am a native English speaker, tutoring French and English having studied French at King's College London and lived in Paris. I have been tutoring English, French and Entrance Exams for over three years.
I moved cities several times as a child and I have experienced many different learning environments, as well as having studied abroad for a year in Paris as part of my degree. I understand the impact different environments and teaching styles can have on a student's ability and motivation to learn, and that's something I always aim to keep in mind when teaching.
I work in communications, which I really enjoy because of the value I place on attention to detail, creativity, and exploring new ideas. In my free time I love to cook and I co-author a food blog. I also enjoy dancing, going to the theatre and visiting art galleries.
I have three years of experience helping students with English and French language-learning, including lessons over Skype. I have also helped professionals study for their Cambridge English Qualifications and helped them to improve their English language skills for the workplace.
I often find that students can feel under pressure in the modern teaching environment, which can inadvertently have an adverse impact on their performance. I like to take an empathetic approach to teaching to understand what motivates each student, and to help get the best out of them.
