I am a 28 year old Mathematics Graduate from Queen Mary University of London and I teach Mathematics privately full time.
I have been tutoring maths to students of all ages and abilities for over 8 years. As well as tutoring I have worked in many schools throughout London as a cover supervisor/TA which has developed my teaching style to be more inclusive.
I am well informed about the changes to the new GCSE Maths 9-1 and have experience of covering both Higher and Foundation topics.
I believe being a good tutor begins with building a relationship with the student and getting to know them as a person. It is important to let the students know that you believe in them and that you wont give up on them. It is my job as a tutor to determine how each and every one of my students learn best and to teach them strategies that they can use to help them achieve their full academic potential. I am very hard working and determined when it comes to giving my students my all and ensuring they are meeting their full potential.
I enjoy getting to the basics with my students and determining whether they have a thorough foundation to understand the course materials being built upon. I am credited for my friendly and motivating approach in teaching, and enjoy working with my students to fully understand the material. While in university, I was a PAL (peer assisted learning) tutor assisting fellow students with any help and advice they required in courses previously completed by myself.
