I am a cellist, pianist and double bass player who has taught secondary school Music since 2016.
In my time at my current school, I have lead choirs to performances at venues such as Canterbury Cathedral, mentored bands who have signed with local record labels, and have established some of the highest A Level class sizes in the county.
I am also a keen composer and arranger, and have written music for podcasts and Twich streamers.
As a current Head of Music in a large grammar school, I am responsible for the provision of Music across all secondary key stages. I teach both GCSE and A Level Music, and have experience across the main exam boards, including GCSE Examiner training.
I also work for Kent Music as the conductor on the Junior String courses for Kent Music Summer School, having previously been Head of Strings at Medway Music Centre.
My approach is student-centred, focussing on both the perceived limitations of a student, as well as developing their strengths to become fantastic, rounded musicians.
