Enthusiastic about languages and language teaching. Native speaker of Spanish with a wide range of experiences including teaching Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish, French and English) in both private and independent sectors.

Tutoring Experience

My vocation for teaching was consolidated throughout my experience as a teacher in different environments. While studying my degree, I gave extracurricular English lessons to students with low attainment in languages. It was challenging at times, as I had to find ways to make the language accessible to them, while also keeping the lessons enjoyable and their motivation high; I have therefore been able to develop a wide range of learning activities to maintain engagement and facilitate learning for all ability ranges. By considering the students' individual differences and learning styles, I gained experience and confidence, improving the quality of my lessons. My teaching experiences to date have led me to regard MFL as an essential subject, not only to the development of each pupil’s academic and literacy skills, but also to each person’s growth as a competent individual in an ever changing world.
Additionally, as a native speaker of Spanish, I bring a cultural element, which in my opinion is essential to the teaching of languages, as well as enthusiasm and passion for language learning.
