Teaching: oboe (from beginners to adult learners), recorder (beginner), piano (beginner), musicianship, and coaching all instrumentalists in folk and classical music.
My name is Emma I am an oboist/ workshop leader currently studying my masters at the University of Music in Mannheim, Germany. With lots of experience in music education, orchestral and solo performance, and folk music I can teach you in any of these areas, alongside musicianship and theory.
I offer guided lessons through music grades or school exams, or can work with you more flexibly on your current pieces/ any music you want to learn. Additionally I work myself a lot on creative projects and am happy to work with you in a workshop based session where we develop material you bring, or work on creative projects together.
Oboe Teacher and Wind Ensemble Coaching: Saffron Walden Centre for Young Musicians 2019-2022

I take a creative approach to all music teaching. Even complicated music theory or learning scales is fun when you can understand why it is useful and find a way to understand it which works easily for you! I work with each individual student in the way which best suits them- having worked with all age groups from babies to adults I easily adapt my teaching technique meeting the student where they are at in their learning process.
