Hello my name is Emma and I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher who is passionate about my subject and helping pupils progress and achieve their full potential.
I studied at Edinburgh University where I achieved a First Degree Honour in Mathematics. I then completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Cambridge University.
I have had over five years’ experience working as a full time teacher in the classroom, working across all Key Stages with a variety of students with a range of different abilities. I have experience of teaching the new GCSE 9 – 1 syllabus and the style of exam questions now being asked.
I am passionate about teaching and learning and have the experience from working as a full time teacher to ensure tutoring sessions are well structured and productive. As everyone has a different learning style, I tailor my teaching style to suit individual needs.
My aim is to ensure the best outcomes for my tutees by approaching the role with commitment and high expectations.
I have a friendly and caring nature and my approach to tutoring is to create a supportive and motivating environment where children are comfortable in taking risks with, as well as, enjoy their learning opportunities and reach their fullest potential.
For September 2024 I currently have 2 available slots:
