Hi, my name is Emma and I am an experienced Primary Teacher.
Professional and passionate about education and teaching, I constantly look to further my own learning of the role teachers have to ensure my students are getting the best possible education. Promoting positive mental health for students is a cause I care deeply about and advocate for in my professional and personal life. Outside of work, I am a keen runner and baker.
I have 10+ years teaching experience across Y1-Y5. Currently I work at an independent girls' school as an upper KS2 Phase Leader and Y4 form teacher. In addition to my PGCE, I also have an NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture, Mental Health Lead Training, and Level 2 Safeguarding.
Additionally, I have experience with private tutoring 1:1 for English and Maths and am able to provide support for children with SEN.
My teaching approach is fully individualised to each child I work with. I see 1:1 teaching as a valuable opportunity to make learning enjoyable and to nurture a genuine love of learning. I consistently use a pupil-centred approach, always considering what is best for my students—not only to help them achieve their goals but also to ensure they enjoy learning.
