Passionate about working with children, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher who enjoys encouraging young people to reach their full potential and develop a love for learning. I am a warm, approachable, positive person and very organised and driven in my approach to work. I enjoy keeping fit and play netball on a weekly basis in my spare time as well as coach Netball within my school.
After graduating from university with a First Class psychology degree I decided to pursue a career in teaching a few years later and joined the Teach First programme. I have been teaching for 4 years across Key Stage 2 with experience in Key stage 1 including phonics teaching. Furthermore, I have specific experience in planning and teaching primary maths.
I have a very encouraging and positive approach to teaching and aim to make learning fun and engaging. I believe it is important to build the child's confidence and consistently adapt my teaching to suit the child's needs. I aim to develop a love for learning and am confident that my teaching practice will support the child to develop skills and understanding across the primary curriculum.
