I'm an English Literature graduate from the University of Edinburgh with ten years of tutoring experience. Born and raised in Scotland, I have recent experience of the exam system and am able to help students prepare for upcoming exams. While at university, I studied abroad at the University of Richmond in Virginia where I tutored classmates in English close reading techniques. Currently, I am studying for my MA English Literature and Culture in Germany.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring students to success at National 5, Higher, GCSE, and A-Level and am familiar with the IB Diploma system. I have worked with children and young adults with special needs and have experience assisting in classrooms for the younger years in my secondary school. Having had a tutor myself during my Highers, I have experience of what it's like to be on the other side of the process and I hope this experience will help people feel at ease when learning with me.

Tutoring Approach

I offer online tutoring only during the remainder of my studies as I am unable to travel. I believe a one-to-one tutoring session is best to allow students to ask questions and develop their understanding of the subject. I am passionate about the subjects I offer and hope to help students find their passion for them too. I vary my approach to learning based on age group, needs etc. and work to engage students via their personal interests as much as possible.
