Emily

I graduated with a masters in Chemistry from the University of York in 2017 and undertook a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Leeds. I am a staff member at the University of Cambridge. I have a firm understanding of science and maths in general with specialisms in Chemistry. I genuinely enjoy working with young people to develop their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for science and maths.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked both as a teacher at the University of Leeds and at the University of York.

I currently give supervisions and lectures at the University of Cambridge in Chemistry.

I also have the benefit of working previously as a scientist in a drug discovery company to apply science to real world problems!

I have had six years of experience in tutoring chemistry, biology, physics and maths. I can also help you pass entrance exams to get into university! (Medicine, vet med, Oxford and Cambridge).

I am fully CRB checked and would be happy to show my certificate.

Tutoring Approach

I want to make science as interesting and engaging as possible. I encourage younger students to take responsibility for their own learning, preparing them for their education in the future.
