Hi! My name is Emi and I’m currently a medical student at UCL.
As an A-Level student, I’ve tutored GCSE students in multiple subjects including Maths, English and Science. Teaching is something that I’ve always enjoyed and I hope to instil a similar love of learning in my pupils. I was also a Maths prefect at secondary school, which involved aiding younger students- who needed additional help- get a stronger grasp of the subject. I am aware that each and every child will have different learning styles and so will strive to tailor my lessons to their individual needs.
My method of teaching will be very interactive as I believe it’s a great way to gauge my students’ understanding. I’ll often be asking questions and quizzing them throughout the session so that they’d be able to offer their answers and opinions more confidently. In my experience, doing past exam papers as well as questions is one of the best ways to increase your confidence as a learner as well as hone your exam skills. On top of this, I’m very friendly and sociable so I hope to create an environment where students are comfortable to share their concerns as well as learning needs.
