Hello, my name is Ellen. I am a fully qualified primary teacher based in Basingstoke. I have a real passion for helping children to realise their own potential, something that can be challenging in modern busy classrooms. Does your child think that they ‘can’t do’ maths or that English is ‘not for them’? If so they may really benefit from some confidence boosting 1-1 tuition. I know that if we can shift these sorts of mindsets early we can change the course of a young persons education and help them to find happiness and success within the education system!
Alongside my PGCE and qualified teacher status I also hold a first class degree in History of Art and a masters degree in History of Design. I have a full DBS certificate.
I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across key stage 1 and 2 and extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum. As a key stage 2 class teacher in a local school I recently had the privilege to work with children with all sorts of educational needs and interests and as such I am experienced in adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners. I am excited to begin tutoring in the local area.
I believe strongly that children need to feel comfortable and confident in themselves to unlock their full learning potential. I help children to build their learning resilience through getting to know the individual child and tailoring learning to their specific needs and interests whilst helping them to achieve learning goals aligned to the national curriculum.
