I am a recent graduate of English from the University of Oxford (MSt English, Distinction) and the University of York (BA English, First Class).

I have a passion for academia that I love sharing with students. I seek to boost not only the grades of my pupils but also their confidence and enthusiasm for English. I have plenty of tips and tricks for academic success that I can't wait to share!

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced tutor and have taught English to a range of students, both 1-1 and in larger groups. I am experienced in the needs of different age groups, learning styles, abilities, and personalities. I am knowledgable in the curriculum and requirements of 9-1 GCSEs and A-Levels.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is student-led and positive! I design my lessons on a case-by-case basis, assessing student needs and tailoring my teaching accordingly. Although most of our time together will be spent on the student's less confident areas, I also use recap sessions to make sure their stronger topics are maintained. Most importantly, I seek to build my students' confidence in their abilities—something which I believe is essential to academic success.
