Tutoring Experience

With over 48 years’ experience including 20 years as Head of Modern Languages, I have taught French from Key Stage 3 to A Level and Oxbridge Entrance.

I am a Senior Examiner, Team Leader and visiting Oral Examiner for IGCSE, GCSE and A Level French. This invaluable experience gives me detailed insight into the requirements of the examinations

In the past, I have written CPD Inset teacher training courses for IGCSE Speaking, Reading and Writing. These courses are designed to help teachers nationally to understand examination issues so that, in turn, they can help their students to achieve better grades.

Tutoring Approach

Patient and understanding, I establish the needs of the student before offering support in the four skills - Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking.

I hold "Enhanced DBS Check" status which legally permits me to work with children and young adults. Sight of the official documentation is available on request.

Please note, that due to the need to access ICT and educational materials, I can only offer tuition in my home. There is ample free parking.
