I'm Ed! I'm a friendly and dynamic music tutor based here in Bristol. I'm a professional musician, singing and playing lead guitar in two bands, Ead Wood and Langkamer. I love music more than anything, and want to help other people get as much fun out of it as I do.
I've extensive experience performing, recording and touring. I mainly love rock, indie and folk music, but have a soft spot for so many genres. Country, punk, soul, reggae. Anything with a good guitar part.
I've been working with 10 different primary schools in Bristol for the last five years, teaching band workshops that covered guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, singing and drums. I'm confident with all these instruments (and clarinet) but specialise in guitar, singing and songwriting.
Outside of this, I've also been privately tutoring for 10 years, helping students fall in love with music and watching their confidence grow. I've taught across a range of different age groups, and believe it's never too late to learn an instrument!
My lessons are laid back, fun, and student-centred. I don’t want my lessons to feel like a chore for my pupils, I want them to learn the things they WANT to learn. Learning should always be fun, first and foremost. It's all about what the student wants to learn.
I can offer a holistic approach to the process and also cover songwriting and recording.
