Hi! My name's Dom, and I'm a recent Spanish graduate from the University of Bristol. I attained First Class Honours in my degree, as well as winning the 2025 School of Modern Languages Prize for Academic Achievement.

Tutoring Experience

I've got extensive experience both in Mentoring, 5+ years, and as a professional, paid tutor, 2.5+ years. I've always loved Spanish, and I excelled at both GCSE and A-Level, attaining a 9 and a high A* respectively. I have also spent time living abroad, in countries like Chile and Argentina, fully immersed in the language, and thus I feel extremely confident in tutoring Spanish.

Tutoring Approach

Using my experience I find it easy and enjoyable speaking Spanish with my students, helping them work out tricky grammatical issues, and overall allowing them to gain confidence. I'm easy-going, friendly, and value a warm, non-intimidating environment above everything, as without it, no matter how good the tutor, any student will eventually feel reluctant to engage and ask questions, making it impossible to improve as much as within their potential. Lastly, I simply really enjoy tutoring, I find it extremely satisfying, and really rewarding, and hopefully together we can make great progress!
