Dominic

I taught Religious Studies and Theology at the London Oratory School for ten years until 2022 before leaving to focus on tutoring and continuing as a Senior Examiner. I have over ten years of experience preparing students for GCSE, A-level (Philosophy and Ethics), 13+ and Scholarship exams.
I have successfully tutored pupils for both Oxford and Cambridge and as an Examiner for both the AQA and OCR boards have an excellent understanding of what's needed to achieve the highest grades and how to get there.
I have an MA in Theology from the University of London and a BSc in Psychology which has given me an invaluable understanding of the process of acquiring knowledge. I have experience of working with pupils with special educational needs across the spectrum. I am also an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language and have taught Latin at Key stage 3.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced Religious Studies/ Theology teacher and Senior Examiner. I teach at A Level, GCSE, Key Stage 3 and am also familiar with the Common Entrance exam.
At A level I have experience of teaching Philosophy & Ethics for the AQA and OCR boards and for GCSE the AQA, Edexcel and OCR boards. In addition I am an experienced Examiner for the OCR and AQA boards at GCSE level.
I have taught English as a Foreign Language both in London and Argentina.
I have taught Latin at Key Stage 3.

I tailor my teaching approach to the specific needs of the student using a variety of teaching methods in order to create a positive learning environment and ensure engagement and good interaction. I foster critical thinking skills, provide constructive feedback and promote independent learning.
