My name is Debi and I live in Fetcham, Surrey.
I am a native and grew up in Surrey and was privately-educated.
I have a dog who is a Cavalier King Charles and is a wonderful companion. I have many different interests.
I really enjoy teaching and meeting students from all over the world. It is very satisfying to see students progress.
I have been very successful in my career and one of the reasons for this is that I have a sense of humour and always
give the confidence a student needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 25 years, so, I can offer vast teaching experience! I have taught children and adults of all levels, nationalities and ages.

I have taught adult learners with diverse backgrounds and professions such as doctors, pharmacists, airline pilots,
lawyers, advertising managers, university students, artists and so on. Some students learn English purely for interest or
for day-to-day living here.

Tutoring Approach

To have fun and enjoy the learning experience! I aim to maintain the trust and confidence of every student.
I keep the level of learning at a rate that is always within the student's capability.
After an initial chat, I complete a needs analysis and help students with this. I help identify the problem areas. This maybe
in social or business situations. Perhaps it is the grammar, speaking or pronunciation that needs assisting. Tell me what you find difficult and I will make it easy for you! It is as simple as that! I will then give you a short test to assess your level and off we go!

I believe the great teacher inspires a student to continue learning.
