I am a young, ambitious and approachable Law and Management and Law LLB graduate from Robert Gordon University. Choosing not to follow the path of becoming a solicitor, I am now further my legal knowledge by working as a Commercial Specialist. I have previously worked for Edinburgh Innovations, University of Edinburgh.
My specialty is in law tutoring or English tutoring at primary through to standard grade level. I am a recent graduate who chose to work full time whilst completing my last year of university on an Online Distance Learning basis which meant that I studied every evening, attending exams and seminars whilst working full time during the day. I therefore fully understand the stress and anxiety that university and exams can bring.
During my time at university I studied contract law, criminal law , delict, employment law, family law, EU law, human rights, intellectual property law, commercial law, business ethics, practical business studies, oil and gas law, legal methods and many more through my 7 years of studying. I also became familiar with research, LexisNexis, Westlaw, legal journals, referencing and preparation for Dissertation.
I would also be more than qualified to help with job applications, CVs and interview preparation for law firms, voluntary work and universities. My previous job roles have been with one of the top 5 in Scotland law firms, Shepherd and Wedderburn and before that I worked for Thorntons Law LLP. I also received job offers from Burness Paull LLP. I am confident in approaching interviews and often help my family and friends with their interview techniques and job applications.
I have carried out volunteer work for a local charity that my mother is manager for and I also took part in a sleepout to raise money for homeless charities.
I am relatively new to tutoring as a professional aspect of my life but at the moment, I tutor three times a week outside of my full time job and I am experienced in assisting peers, family and friends with their job applications, university degrees and professional problems.
I currently tutor a 2nd year student in English, a 3rd year student in English and a law student.
My approach to tutoring will defer to each individual student to meet their needs and qualification level, one approach will not suit all and I would hope that we would adapt the approach together.
I am able to tutor on an online basis
