I am a fully trained mathematics teacher. I have a PGCE in Mathematics with full QTS, Child Safe Guarding Training and a recent Enhanced Criminal Record Check (DBS). My special ability is to gain a rapport with students, put the student at ease and get the best possible results.

I am available for face to face tuition and online lessons. After you have purchased my details from FirstTutors, if you require online lessons we can either use skype or zoom.
I have been teaching for 30 years in Universities, Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for over 30 years in Universities', Secondary Schools and Further Education Colleges. On graduating many years ago I worked successfully as an electronic design engineer and a computer programmer, as a permanent employee and a freelancer

I joined the world of education when I started a PhD in Electronics, also employed as a Senior Lecturer. I reached and passed the Mphil stage before I became a mother and ever since I have been involved in teaching and training.

I am very passionate about teaching and I like to be very thorough and do a good job. Being a mother I sincerely want the best for children and endeavour to help them in their quest to acheive their goals, whatever they may be.

Tutoring Approach

With lots of recent training I approach each child as an individual, assessing their current position in their learning and build upon that.

My expertise also includes, besides my mathematics knowledge, encouraging and working closely with children who have struggled with maths in the past and determining the best way that they learn; working closely with them and allowing them to actually enjoy the mathematics as well as acheiving their goal.
