Nothing against Dawn personally, she is totally trust worthy and a very polite, gentle lady.

Dawn's style of tutoring did not suit my daughter. When she made a mistake she was given the correct answer rather than being told to look again. As my daughter rushes work and doesn't read questions thoroughly, she needs to be told to do it again rather than told the answer.

I generally find that when someone has made a mistake, working through how we get to the answer together is often beneficial if they don’t appear to understand the steps involved. The child/individual is then better armed to move on and work out the answer to the next question themselves, building their confidence in the process rather than just pointing out mistakes if it appears they don’t seem confident with the process required.

I've only had a couple of weeks of session with Dawn and so far she has helped me far more than any other tutor or teacher i've ever had has. she is patient with me and my dyscalculia, warm and smiley in her approach and has even made me enjoy some of the maths which for me is beyond a foreign concept! Highly recommended!

Dawn has been great at tutoring my son. He has so much more confidence at school now. He looks forward to the session with her and very comfortable with her. We initially only wanted it for the summer holidays. We were very pleased with Dawn's efforts we have decided to continue. She is very organised and plans her lessons well. She is flexible and able to change the lessons according to his needs. We are very happy that we found her.

Dawn has worked with my ten year old son. She obviously prepares well for every lesson, and provides me with a lesson plan in advance each week. Dawn works hard to include themes in the lesson such as Lego or football that appeal to my son, and capture his interest.
Dawn is very reliable, and arrives promptly. She has a calm and gentle manner that brings out the best in my son, and also manages to have fun in the lesson. He looks forward to his lessons- which has to be a first!
