I've tutored many students over the last fifteen years and know what a positive difference it can make. I can offer Maths at GCSE and Pure Maths at A Level, and have a strong knowledge of all three major exam boards - AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
I can also provide a short bridging course to enable students to gain confidence in moving from GCSE Maths to A Level. This lasts six weeks and focuses on key topics that are the foundations for preparing for the A Level course.
I have over twenty years experience of teaching, and for most of that time have taught GCSE and A Level groups. I have been Head of a large and successful Sixth Form in South Yorkshire, and so have a detailed understanding of not only teaching at this level, but also the whole process of UCAS admissions should that help in any way.
My approach to tutoring is simple. I aim to build your confidence and understanding. I'm not there to judge, but to support. What I have learnt over the years is that when students start to grasp the style of exam questions and what the examiners are after, then everything starts to fall into place. I'm proud of the fact that many of my students in the past have improved their grades, and also benefited from their increased self-belief. I do believe that having a personal tutor can make a real difference.
