My son is pleased to have David to tutor him for A-level maths is he finds him friendly, reliable and very helpful. After just a couple of tutor sessions my son is already feeling more confident with the subject.

What an amazing help David has been. I’ve really been struggling with the jump between GCSE and A-level maths and received a D on my mock. My mum secured David’s help, and instantly my understanding of maths improved. He explains concepts so much more thoroughly than my teacher and other tutors. He picks up on areas I haven’t fully understood without me even having to say anything. His level of support outside of tuition has been remarkable. Once, I sent a question I was stuck on at midnight, and he replied 10 minutes later with a hint and then sent a fully worked solution for a similar question to aid me. He’s been incredible, and despite all the reviews he gets—and rightly so—they do not do him justice.

Oh and before I forget In my second mock I’ve gained an A* at 87%!! You Sir are a legend!

We have been using David to help our son with A level maths. David is very organised and reliable. He always confirms the tuition the day before and responds quickly to emails. My son has found his teaching very effective as he explains things well. More recently our daughters have had some tuition and we intend to continue doing so in the future, if possible.

David has tutored both of our children in Maths for 6 months now. Our daughter has just completed her GCSE’s and our son will start next school year. Our son definitely struggles with maths but it’s been noticed by the school that he’s improving and his end of year test results were definitely better than his previous terms results, I’m sure that a part of that is down to the tutoring he’s received from David. He’s patient and explains things very well. We are upping the tutoring to twice a week soon to further help his understanding.

David then breaks it down into easily manageable blocks and then builds them up again to ensure he learns it. No surprise I have learnt he now helps undergraduate students! This is our second time using David which speaks volumes. David is a marvellous tutor really a one off. His understanding of topics and the syllabus is remarkable you can ask him anything and you’ll get an answer.

Four years ago he tutored my daughter for 6 months helping her achieve an A* in her A-level mathematics and entry into her preferred university for medicine. She is now one year away from becoming a junior doctor.

David was very professional and quickly built a rapport with our daughter which she really appreciated. As the exams approached our daughter would email him with questions on topics or exam question she hadn’t fully understood and he would respond that day which really helped easy her anxiety. Even now she still refers to him and the best teacher she has ever had.

A really remarkable tutor. Shane got on with David instantly which is very rare for Shane. David is very attentive, he explains topics in such a clear manner, he has made the harder topics seem very simple which clearly demonstrates an amazing knowledge of the subject.
David’s knowledge of both GCSE and A-level content was remarkable.

Whilst I am not concerned purely with academic achievement I realise that other parents can be so I will add the following. We hired David towards the start of October when Shane had got 26% and 31% on mock exams (one calculator and one without using a calculator). He has just sat his end of year exams in maths where he got 91% and 94% respectively. I put that improvement solely down to David.

Most importantly for me Shane now really enjoys the subject and plans to continue maths beyond GCSE, the turn around has been remarkable to witness.

David has been brilliant honestly brilliant. My daughter was very much against hiring another tutor after not getting on well with a previous tutor.
She had changed her mind completely after just one hour. David was able to engage her immediately, challenging her whilst making the tuition fun. A simply wonderful tutor, brilliant is an overused word these days but David is just that brilliant!!

Our son was really struggling to keep up at school. In December the head of maths recommend David who had previously tutored another student at the school who’s performance had improved significantly. We looked David up on this website and could see why he had been recommended.

David was prompt in his contact, polite and very reliable, he’s everything you could wish for in a tutor and far more. Our son always felt the lessons went very quickly as David clearly keep them interesting and challenging for him. He really enjoyed the games David would finish the lessons with at times. He actually looked forward to a maths lessons which was mind blowing for me at-least.

He would also provide updates to me via email to let us know how our son was getting on which was a really nice touch. He was also flexible and would be willing to move the weekly tuition at short notice without fuss.

We have retained David’s services into our sons final GCSE year which I and most important my son are very happy about. His GCSE mock result came back yesterday with a grade 7 compared to the grade 4 he had been achieving. That is all down to David’s input dedication and ability.

I was lucky enough to find David after my son struggled to click with a previous Tutor, Ben had fallen so far behind in Maths due to Covid and lack of in person teaching. Within 6 weeks of his tuition the school had both moved Ben up a set for GCSE Maths and decided he would now be entered for the higher tier.

To say he goes above and beyond is quite frankly an understatement. An example of his commitment is that following every tuition he will send worksheets to myself for Ben to complete on topic's he was weakest, these are reviewed by him the following week.
