Enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated teacher of Politics and Economics. Politics in particular is my passion, and I have feel privileged to have been able to turn this into my profession
I am currently Head of Politics, and have taught Politics for over 6 years (AQA). I am also an examiner for AQA, having examined for the Political Ideas paper (2022) and the US Paper (2023). I have taught Economics for over 2 years, both Micro and Macro, and have examined for AQA Paper 2 (Macro).
I employ formative assessment techniques to establish students' prior knowledge of a subject, before designing a lesson to build on that. I am a very responsive teacher, who is quite adept at identifying key areas to improve, and creating resources to help with those. I want to help engender a love of learning for students, and particularly enjoy the use of oracy/questioning to facilitate student learning.
