Dave is an outstanding tutor. My eldest son gained so much knowledge and confidence from his sessions with Dave. His grades improved quickly and his self belief followed. We were so impressed we hired Dave to tutor our second son, who again was finding aspects of Further Maths A Level tricky. He thrived too and exceeded expectations when he received his results this summer.
Dave has excellent organisational skills, his knowledge is outstanding, his ability to communicate concepts is exceptional. I really cannot recommend him highly enough.

If you are looking to hit the higher points and concepts within a level economics and aiming for A or A* results Dave is more than capable of supporting, you and allowing you to achieve that. I'm very happy with the result and couldn't ask for a better tutor.

Dave has been tutoring my son for A level Economics, he is dedicated and excellent tutor. In a very short space of time my son has grown in confidence and his grades improved tremendously! He progressed from an E in his mock exams to an A in his A level exams. I can't thank Dave enough and would highly recommend him.

Dave tutored me for a number of months with A-level economics. He is clearly very knowledgeable in this subject which allows him to teach his students high level content which is required for those A/A* grades. He goes through topics in high detail ensuring that it is covered in full, rather than skimming through topics which unfortunately many teachers now do. His passion for Economics and learning in general shines through his work which creates a positive atmosphere in his sessions. Not only does he focus on the work you do with him but he also focuses on how you study in general and helps you to learn as effectively as possible. I would definitely reccommend Dave to anybody who is looking to have tutoring in Maths/Economics. Whatever grades his students achieve there is no doubt that he is a good tutor.

Dave is an excellent tutor. My son worked with him in year 13 and feels that without Dave, he wouldn’t have been able to turn his economic grade around. Dave has invested a huge amount of time creating a bank of resources which I know my son found invaluable. He was encouraging and supportive from the start and I recommend him highly.

Dave has been tutoring our 13 year old daughter, who is passionate about maths, for the past two years. They started with the fundamentals and have taken a building block approach to developing knowledge and techniques that underpin the GCSE syllabus with the intention to go through to A-Level. Dave is teaching her the language of maths and how to approach the same problem from multiple perspectives, thereby allowing her to select the optimal method for the challenge at hand. They have worked through a range of subjects and branches including algebra and trigonometry. Dave has an excellent teaching style. He takes the time to explain and always loops back to test learning. He is patient, positive and encouraging and is always upbeat which is important for instilling confidence. Dave has made a significant and lasting impact on our daughter's understanding, enjoyment and pace of progress in maths.

Dave helped my daughter with year 13 Economics. I was impressed with Dave's lesson plans, he takes his time to understand the individual students needs and then tailors his lesson accordingly. He really went over and above all expectations to help his students achieve the best possible outcome. Dave was a great tutor and would highly recommend him.

If I could rate 'Excellent Star' I would for Dave . He started tutoring my son in economics in his final year of A-Levels when we realised that a year of COVID disruption and college teaching, one week in class followed by one week via zoom, were failing his chances of good results. He soon took up tutoring my son in maths as well. He built my son's confidence and understanding in two complex and notoriously difficult A-Level subjects. Dave also arranged for no-cost group sessions practicing questions on the weekends during the examination season. He maximised the time for learning by following detailed timetables during the final year … and it worked. Dave has helped my son achieve grades this time last year he never thought he would see and to secure a place in his first choice university. Thank you so much.

Dave is an excellent A level maths tutor whom I would highly recommend. My daughter was really struggling and he was able to give her the confidence to actually enjoy maths and improve her grades (her words not mine). Dave clearly enjoys teaching and he works hard at building up a rapport with his students therefore getting the best out of him. He explains things clearly and concisely and we feel extremely lucky to have found him. Without Dave my daughter would probably have given up A level maths. An absolutely brilliant tutor.

We cannot recommend Dave highly enough. He has increased our son's natural interest in Economics whilst the impact on his Maths has been incredible. His confidence has increased immeasurably based on now understanding the principles that sit behind the subject. As a result he is now predicted A* grades in both A level subjects and is looking at university options he previously felt were out of his reach.

My daughter's been working with Dave for a few weeks now, and I like his non-intrusive approach and very subtle way of both providing content as well as getting her to engage in the conversation - leading to learning by explaining. Dave provided a great space for her to feel confident to ask the questions she might not feel at ease in the classroom. I look forward to her further progress.

Dave has been a great tutor for my daughter with her Maths for her GCSEs. My daughter has progressed a lot with Dave & gained enormous confidence with her Maths. He is very understanding, very supportive & has been great online. He is always on time and his lessons are well organised with great use of technology. Dave is an excellent economics tutor. He did an outstanding job helping our son prepare for his term exam. He succeeded to do that in a very short period of time. We would recommend him strongly to anyone seeking a tutor, who can get the job done.

For those of you that have searched through many tutors profiles for A Level Maths as I have done previously. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending Dave . He takes the time to actively listen and fully understand the requirements of his students and tailor his approach accordingly. In the case of my son, Dave recalibrated much of his foundational understanding of Maths to build a solid base on which to build his detailed understanding of Hypothesis Testing, Trig Identities, Tension with a heavy focus on past papers to constantly identify and address potential gaps. As part of this process Dave not only reignited my sons interest in A Level Maths but most importantly rebuilt his confidence in the subject. Despite the unprecedented chaos of 2020 my son achieved a well deserved Grade A. This is a truly and outstanding achievement as my son’s prior performance in pre-mock examinations was C/D. If you are looking for a turnaround approach then look no further than Dave .

My son has been having a major wobble with his maths and we felt he needed a fresh approach to his tutoring sessions. Dave has a very different style to his previous tutor which has helped my son to regain some of his enthusiasm for the subject. I am very optimistic that this will help him get his grades back up to where they should be.

Dave is a teacher's teacher. His enthusiasm for math and helping students understand math is infectious. My daughter is doing much better in her AP Stats class as a result of Dave's help. He is organized, punctual, and does an excellent job getting the concepts across.

Dave is always very organised and efficient with his lesson time. His teaching is clear and the homework he gives is effective and well paced. Any communication in terms o**Contact Detail Removed**ing sessions is prompt, his knowledge of different exam boards is current and his approach is positive and reassuring. We will be continuing with Dave until my daughter completes her GCSE's and hope to employ Dave's services with our other children in due course.

Dave has been a godsend to an urgent A Level Maths need for my son. Dave is very flexible and being able to do lessons virtually was brilliant. Another 8 weeks to go until the exams finish !!

David is a very well spoken, friendly and polite gentleman - A very good timekeeper who gets down to work straightaway, and has the ability to assess the problems faced very quickly.

My son, who is studying for his AS and A level Mathematics, said that David's approach, returning to first principles if necessary, was absolutely excellent and made things that had seemed a little bit vague, become crystal clear.

Overall, David's extremely professional attitude makes me confident that I would recommend his tuition unreservedly. Luke is looking forward to seeing David again in the holidays for some more tuition.

Thank you for the help you gave our daughter. She was struggling with her GCSE maths and ended up with taking the exam early and getting an A grade. She is now starting Maths A Level. Very patient and friendly.

Without the energy and direction of Dave, my son's Economics AS grade would have been a disaster like his other non-tutored subjects. Dave inspired my son and gave him the necessary clear guidance needed to secure a strong grade. The real unexpected bonus for us has been our son's interest in the subject and consequent engagement in on-going study. I had a great experience working with Dave . He was tutoring Math my 13 year old son for 12 months and we are happy to continue. During this time my son's results improved significantly, which was reflected in his marks and recognised by the Math school teacher. Dave has an excellent approach to teaching, he flexes and adopts his style to his students. He immediately established rapport with my son and my son very much enjoyed every session. Dave genuinely loves Math and has a very broad perspective in his lessons, i.e it is very imaginative and grasp child's attention (not pure numbers). It has been a good start. Dave has quickly identified the areas where help is needed help and tailored the tuition to suit. Dave seems very well prepared and sends follow up notes and tasks after each lesson. Our son has grown in confidence in economics and this has also had a positive impact on his attitude and approach to the other subjects he is studying. Great!

Dave was a perfect find. He knew his stuff, was friendly, conscientious and personable. He did what he said he was going to do… and more. I am impressed with Dave. His commitment, diligence and perseverance is second to none. He has a way of dealing and engaging with my teenage son who is clearly benefitting from his input.
